How To Style On A Budget
Today I spent the day in Notting Hill walking the markets, starting at Eat Tokyo for a spot of sushi and finishing off a perfect day spent with my mama at Le Pain Quotidien for a Belgian hand warmer.
Although the streets were paved with colourful houses it was a pretty grey day so I threw all my basics together and wore a monochrome outfit.
I am a strong believer that, if you can get the basics right (a plain Tee, cami, leather pants, flat brim hat) then you pretty much have everything you need to wear whatever fast fashion throws at you. However outlandish it may be.
So, if you are currently on the web searching high and low for a top to go with that metallic skirt or pastel bomber, it is likely that one of these is your answer. I wear these basics on rotation mixed with a seasonal statement piece, it keeps the contents of my wardrobe to a minimal and my spending even lower. You can also carry the pieces over throughout each season.
Today I am keeping it simple to show you that you don’t necessarily have to have the most sought after top on the high street to put a stylish outfit together. I wish I had learnt this tip sooner as it would have saved me so much money.
Finally, everything I am wearing can be shopped via the links below and is price ranged from only £6+.
Happy hump day!
