The Travel Blogger Dress

Hi guys, so today I’m going to share with you a little inspo for vacation shopping so that you can pull of some great looks abroad.

I love following travel bloggers and scrolling through endless feeds of blue hues and skyline views.

If you’re on Instagram, Revolve are doing one of the best campaigns around at the moment titled #RevolveAroundTheWorld, showcasing influencers and consumers with amazing style at bucket list destinations such as Machu Picchu.

#FollowMeTo is one of my favourite hashtags, if you like travel photography make sure you check it out too!

It’s also the inspiration behind this outfit, #FollowMeTo is a hashtag showcasing holiday snaps of people walking towards gorgeous backdrops holding the hand of the photographer.

Most of the time when we’re abroad we are make up free right? Or we’re walking around with a melting face full of foundation. And so, not always picture ready when the right moment comes.

Which led me to thinking about the idea of focusing on outfit details from the back rather than the front, something I never considered when shopping for holiday clothes.

I managed to find this romantic dress and I love it, you can actually get 20% off for TODAY only by clicking HERE and using the code ’20OFF’.

If you don’t have a holiday booked any time soon, bank it for the next one. Trust me, this one won’t go out of style unlike the majority fast fashion vacation pieces. And it actually has the potential to make a really good wedding guest outfit.

Okay, so this summer I have decided to switch up my normal morbid uniform of black and grey hues for a splash of colour, because life is too vibrant to just wear black.

It’s not what I would normally wear but I love this bright dress by Dolce, it looks like it should belong in a gallery.

This month’s fiction vs fashion feature is Daenerys Targaryen from Game of Thrones. She’s one of my favourite characters in the series and her costume has evolved as much as her character; from a frail helpless pawn to a strong conquering heroine.

I’ve selectively put together a selection of pieces from this season for those of you who’d love the opportunity to raid Khaleesi’s wardrobe which is sadly locked away at HBO’s headquarters; and the beauty of it is that they are all obtainable and available to purchase now. Who says you need to live in the medieval/fantasy era to wear grecian gowns, delicate fabrics and dress like a Khaleesi?

My favourite find is the Loewe woven dress: Dothraki with a modern day twist. If you need an occasion to wear it but don’t have any plans to conquer a wealthy city or attend a ceremony to eat the heart of a horse anytime soon, it’s a romantic piece to pack for vacation. The perfect ensemble for walking along the beach.

Anastasia’s brow gel is a must-have for sculpting fuller eyebrows like Daenerys. Her natural look enhances her femininity so keep it natural but add a soft pink lip for a touch of colour.

If you like the post and would like to see me cover somebody else get in touch and send in your requests. I’ll list the items featured in this post below with links on where you can find them.

P.S Who’s your favourite G.O.T character?
